About the Founder

Venugopal R is Founder & Managing Partner at Climacto, bringing 11+ years of ESG and sustainability leadership across corporate, product and building sectors. He holds an M.A. in ESG (IICSR), an Impact MBA, and certifications including IGBC AP, EDGE Expert, WELL AP and LCA professional.

At Saint-Gobain India, he shaped the sustainability roadmap—developing India’s first low-carbon glass, leading a 300-product EPD program and optimizing energy performance in 1,000+ buildings. He then steered ESG strategy, reporting and policy work across real estate, manufacturing, hospitality and transportation.

A member of IGBC’s Net Zero Carbon panel, BIS (CED 58) and BEE’s ECSBC committee, Venugopal remains hands-on in every Climacto engagement, delivering practical, high-impact climate solutions.
